Understanding Generational Cues Leads to More Sales
Keynote Addresses How to Sell to Members of Different Generations

CARLSBAD, Calif., Jan. 18, 2012 –The sales process has changed and, if you don’t know what cues to look for, you may be missing out on sales.

Professional Speaker Jason Jordan will deliver “Selling to the Generations,” a keynote presentation intended to arm sales professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to make more sales in today’s business arena.

“The marketplace is highly competitive, and companies are constantly looking for new ways to create relationships and close more business. Today’s predominant sales strategies treat each customer the same. This approach no longer works because sales professionals will face prospects from four distinct generations, and each must be approached differently,” says Jordan.

“Selling to the Generations” will teach sales professionals to utilize generational cues to engage customers in the way they prefer. These cues include attitudes and beliefs that were created as a result of specific social, economic, and political events that shaped the values of a generation’s members. Understanding these cues is one of the most powerful ways to establish and maintain the relationships that can lead to more sales.

“Each generation—from Traditionalists to Millennials—has different expectations of sales professionals, and how they should be engaged throughout the sales process,” says Jordan. “The use of generational cues during this process is critical to developing better relationships and closing more business.”

The presentation is free to the public and is recommended for anyone looking for a better way to grow a business or gain an advantage in the marketplace, especially field sales professionals and sales managers. It is scheduled for Wed., Jan. 25, from 12 – 1 p.m. at Callaway Golf, 2180 Rutherford Rd., Carlsbad, Calif. 92008.

Jordan’s presentation is sponsored by Callaway Toastmasters, a Carlsbad-based club that teaches communication and leadership skills. The club is open to the general public and meets every Wed. from 12 – 1 p.m. at Callaway Golf.
